We currently have a need for a Microsoft .NET Developer to partner with Project Leaders and Consultants on projects for clients in a variety of industries. The .NET Developer will have demonstrated problem solving skills and show skills implementing new technologies and products on the Microsoft platform. He/she will have a sound understanding of Internet technologies as well as Microsoft’s web and distributed application development environments. The .NET Developer will work with Application Servers e.g. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, Microsoft Office Communications Server, etc. He/she will also require experience in developing applications on Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience Level:
- Must have demonstrable .NET skills
- 5-7 years experience in enterprise software development with working knowledge of using .NET framework
- At least 2 years experience developing solutions and composite applications with SharePoint technologies
- Experience in one or more software development lifecycles (Rational, DSDM, Agile)
- Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational databases
Job Responsibilities:
- NET Framework to 3.5, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, DHTML, AJAX, WCF/WPF/WF, COM, C++, XML
- Strong database design skills with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with application servers (SharePoint, IIS, PerformancePoint, Tomcat)
- Visual Studio IDE (experience with Team System would be an asset)
- Provide accurate timing estimates for work based on verbal and written technical briefs
- Work as a team to implement server-side code to produce interactive and database-driven sites
- Exceptional customer service skills with a desire to exceed client expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
