PROJECT COMPLETION: City of Cleveland Fire & EMS

Attevo project management assists with the launch of a new Public Safety Initiative for City of Cleveland.
The City of Cleveland Department of Public Safety Systems Automation Project (PSSAP) Mobile Computing Program provides new technology to the City, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Fire Department dispatch.
In the shift from radio dispatch units to Mobile Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) units in all Fire and EMS vehicles, Attevo's program and project management coordinated the implementation with emergency responders. Partnering with City resources, Attevo managed, coordinated and led the efforts of six vendors of software, hardware and installation services to assess and stabilize the implementation.
Attevo defined risk mitigation strategies among the various team members, including the City's organizational resources. Applying Attevo's project management methodology and knowledge transfer processes with the subject matter experts and additional team leaders, the results were:
- Mobile CAD system enabled dispatchers to deploy the closest units and select the best routes instantly
- Each of the departments achieved immediate improvements in workflow and targeted processes
- Response time for EMS dispatch was reduced by one minute
Following this success, the City has commissioned additional Attevo project management resources to assist in the implementation of a Mobile Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) application for the Police Department.
